The Blue Force Gear Universal Wire Loop (UWL) is a sling attachment made to connect a sling through eyelets, loops, slots, or any other opening the wire fits through. It features a flexible, nylon-coated stainless steel wire and comes in two loop lengths, 3.25" and 6.25", for different applications. Blue Force Gear says it's quieter than traditional hook attachments and won't wear through eyelets.
The sling loop body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billet, then tumbled and bead-blasted for a non-reflective surface and hard-coat anodized. The aircraft-grade stainless steel cable is installed after that, with ball-shank ends crimped to the wire, not the nylon coating. The 1.25" sling loop fits the Vickers Combat Application Slings. Blue Force Gear notes that the cable's outer coating can deform under extreme barrel heat, though the stainless core won't melt. It's made in the USA and carries a limited lifetime warranty.
