The Blue Force Gear GMT (Give Me Tail) Sling is a tail-style sling for people who prefer an adjustable free tail. It uses a custom double-locking adjuster that Blue Force Gear designed for this sling and made from glass-filled nylon. It's meant to hold consistent tension whether you're tightening or loosening the sling, and once it's set, it stays put until you want to change it. Pull the tail to tighten and the spherical release knob to loosen. A sewn-in stop at the end of the tail keeps the sling from coming apart.
The webbing is Blue Force Gear's solution-dyed CORDURA nylon, which has more loft (thickness and softness) than traditional sling webbing. Blue Force Gear says that makes it comfortable under load, works well with the adjuster, and makes the tail less likely to snag. They note it reduces the chance of the tail going where it shouldn't without eliminating it. If a free tail bothers you, their captured-tail Vickers sling is the alternative.
This is the 1.25" version, for standard hardware, shotguns, and other rifles. The sling attaches to standard sling swivels with the included triglides; additional hardware, such as push-button swivels and wire loops, is sold separately.
