The Blue Force Gear 221 Sling is a convertible sling that works as a two-point or single-point sling. A two-point sling suits most situations, but a single-point sling has an advantage when you're deploying from a vehicle or working in tight spaces. The 221 lets you switch between the two quickly. You detach the front attachment from the barrel end of the weapon and plug it into the Burnsed Socket on the rear of the sling. A Quick Adjuster with a contrasting pull tab lets you change the sling's length quickly in either mode. This is the unpadded version, with 1.25" webbing.
The sling comes with either a push-button swivel or a RED Swivel on the front. The RED Swivel is machined steel with a phosphate finish, nylon-coated double-crimped 7-strand stainless steel aircraft cable, a textured pull knob, and stainless steel internals. It fits any weapon with two push-button QD sling sockets, with the rear socket toward the end of the receiver, which includes most ARs. For weapons with eyelets at the rear of the receiver, such as SCARs, Sigs, and HKs, you can add a Universal Wire Loop with a push-button socket to the rear of the sling; that's sold separately.
It's sewn in the USA from Invista solution-dyed CORDURA webbing, with ITW GhillieTex acetal hardware, a military-grade, low-IR plastic. Blue Force Gear says the sling is Berry compliant and carries a limited lifetime warranty.
