The Blue Force Gear Standard AK Sling is a two-point sling designed for AK-47, AK-74, and other AKM-style rifles. It's built on the Vickers sling platform and uses the same Quick Adjuster, which lets you lengthen or shorten the sling instantly with a pull of the tab. The tab is shorter than on the Vickers sling, and there's no sling tail to get caught on anything. That lets you keep the rifle close and secure for carrying, then lengthen the sling to shoulder and fire without taking the rifle off or untangling the sling. You can size it to the individual, with or without body armor or other gear.
On the front, the sling comes with a Molded Universal Wire Loop (UWL), which attaches to the elongated eyelet on the handguard retainer or gas block with nylon-coated stainless steel aircraft cable. You can also pass it under the gas tube for a left-hand setup, and the UWL threads onto the front so you can remove it for a custom setup. The rear has two triglides, which attach to buttstocks, folding stocks, wire stocks, or any other stock type.
It's sewn in the USA from Invista solution-dyed CORDURA webbing, with glass-reinforced DuPont Zytel nylon triglides and adjuster, which Blue Force Gear says lie flatter for comfort while carrying an AK. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
