Takes practice but much faster reloads
I've used this bolt release for a few years now and I added one to all of my ARs. It has improved my reload times but like anything it takes practice. The main thing is to make sure you don't accidentally hit the lever while performing the reload. Being able to hit the lever with your trigger finger once your support hand has inserted the magazine in saves the extra time of smacking the bolt release before moving your support hand back out to the handguard. If you do want to hit the bolt release with your palm you have a lot more surface area to ensure you hit it.
