The Daniel Defense RIS III 9.5" takes the two-piece RIS II design used by U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) since 2006 and reduces weight while adding M-LOK attachment. It keeps the free-float barrel design, 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum construction, and an uninterrupted upper rail with a mil-spec 1913 Picatinny top. Seven M-LOK attachment points run along the handguard, and integral QD swivel attachment points are on both sides.
The handguard attaches with the proven 6-bolt bolt-up system and a steel barrel nut. It is backward compatible with the RIS II bolt-up system and uses the same barrel nut and bolt-up plate. The RIS III upper rail is fully compatible with the RIS II lower rail. Available in Black and Flat Dark Earth.
