The Dead Air Xeno A1 Flash Hider works as a stand-alone muzzle device and also serves as the mounting piece for the Xeno system. Paired with a suppressor fitted with a Xeno Adapter, it provides a lightweight mount with a solid return to zero, ideal for precision-minded shooters. The Xeno Adapter is sold separately.
Dead Air built the Xeno system around a short length and a lock-up position that keeps the flash hider from sitting deep in the blast chamber. Dead Air says that helps reduce concentrated erosion on the baffles and suits suppressors with smaller blast chambers. The flash hider and adapter mate with left-hand threads, so the adapter won't unscrew from your suppressor when you remove the flash hider, and you can check that the mount is still tight when you install it on your firearm. Both pieces have tooling surfaces you can reach with the suppressor fully installed, including a 3/4" wrench feature. The adapter uses the industry-standard 1-3/8-24 thread, so it's compatible with Dead Air's Nomad series and many other suppressors.
It's made from 4140 heat-treated steel with a QPQ black nitride coating, which Dead Air chose for hardness and corrosion resistance. The overall length is 2.16", the outside diameter is .99", and the weight is 3.20 to 3.36 oz. It comes in two thread patterns, so choose the one that matches your barrel.
