The Dead Air Xeno 3-Prong Micro Flash Hider is a short, lightweight flash hider that works as a stand-alone muzzle device on many rifle platforms and also serves as the mounting piece for the Xeno system. Paired with a suppressor fitted with a Xeno Adapter, it gives you a compact mount with a solid return to zero, which suits precision-minded shooters. The Xeno Adapter is sold separately. Dead Air says the Micro tames muzzle flash even on short barrels with flashy ammo.
The prongs are detuned, as on Dead Air's full-size 3-prong series, so they won't resonate when fired or bumped. The forward elements are designed so the suppressor and adapter still slide off after long sessions, even with carbon buildup. The flash hider and adapter mate with left-hand threads, so the adapter won't unthread from your suppressor when you remove the flash hider, and you can check that the mount is still tight when you install it on your firearm. Both pieces have tooling surfaces you can reach with the suppressor fully installed, which helps if you leave your suppressor on for hundreds or thousands of rounds and need extra torque.
