The ALG Defense AK Trigger Enhanced with Lightning Bow (AKT-EL) is a single-stage trigger for AK-47 and AK-74 variant platforms. It offers a smoother, shorter pull than a stock trigger and is designed for combat and home defense use. The trigger is machined from gun-quality alloy steel and finished in corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate.
The Lightning Bow is designed to feel more comfortable than a stock trigger and to provide better trigger control. For OEMs and builders, the AKT-EL is made in North Wales, PA, USA, and lends three parts toward 922(r) compliance.
The ALG AK series of triggers is designed to work with most AK variants without fitting. On variants with a rear trigger-guard rivet that acts as an anti-slap feature, that rivet should be no greater than 0.062" tall. A taller rivet can damage the disconnector. AK receivers and parts vary by manufacturer, and no single specification is agreed upon, so fitting may be required. ALG recommends that a qualified gunsmith install and fit the fire control group. Proper clearance between the rivet and the disconnector is required; incorrect clearance will cause damage.
