The Troy Industries Enhanced Drop-In BattleRail 7" is a non-free-floating replacement for M4 and AR-15 carbine-length plastic handguards (heat shields) that have a round end plate. What sets it apart from the standard Drop-In BattleRail is its extended top Picatinny section, which closes the gap between the receiver and the handguard so you get one continuous top rail for optics and accessories. Troy's patented clamping design gives you a solid platform for mounting. The rail also has MIL-STD Picatinny rails at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions and four built-in sockets for quick-detach (QD) swivels.
