The Surefire Maximus LED Headlamp has a rechargeable battery and a headlamp with variable-output up to an amazing 1,000 lumens. The lowest setting can be changed from 1,000 lumens down to 1 lumen or any setting in between by twisting the large knurled dial which can be controlled with one hand even when wearing gloves. The light can also be aimed with a single hand as the light assembly rotates up and down 90 degrees. The high-performance LED and a custom reflector produce a wide diffused beam optimized for your natural field of vision. The highest output setting alos provides impressive reach. The integral rechargeable lithium-ion battery can be charged with both AC wall-type outlets and 12-volt DC vehicle accessory outlets which are included. The headlamp has a "fuel gauge" to display the battery charge status and a long-running SOS beacon provides an extra margin of safety if needed. Built with a tough and lightweight magnesium and a comfortable to wear, no-chafe fine-weave headband and moisture-wicking Breathe-O-Prene forehead pad.
