Sweet Slide for a Custom P365X
I picked this up, recently, following the purchase of a P365 FCU, and desired to make a fully custom P365X that cannot be found in any stores or sites. I chose the grip, this slide, sights, and then just picked up the Sig OEM slide completion kit, OEM 3.1ヤ barrel and the DPM guide rod system from Sig Guy. I bought the tools and built it myself. The only thing that required extra work was that I had to do some pretty careful stone filing of the FCU a bit, in a place where the case ejector was catching on the slide, due to being new and not yet broken in. It fit perfectly on my already broken in Spectre Comp frame and FCU. YMMV, but the building process is something I would not recommend a beginner take on. If you buy this slide for a partial or completely custom pistol, and find it doesnメt quite fit or sticks in places on the FCU rails, do yourself a favor and have a gunsmith go through and make sure this stuff is done right. I have a lifetime of mechanical experience, and still had some incorrect assumptions that I was making about where it was catching. It would have been disastrous, if I had followed my initial instinct to fix the issue. Luckily, I did not, and the pistol is perfect now, as it runs as smooth as a bunch of marbles on a sheet of glass. I only had to have the gunsmith put the sights on my pistol - DO NOT believe the Amazon descriptions that say, モthis slide pusher works for all slides and sightsヤ - most companies are lying, unless you see someone else prove it can be done. Sig sights are steel on steel, and there is a better chance of you bending, scratching or breaking something with a pusher than there is that you will smoothly get the sights on the slide DIY pusher style. Just a word for the wise. I hope this review for this incredible slide is helpful!
