The Magpul Suppressor Cover - 5.5" installs directly onto compatible cylindrical suppressors to shield the shooter, clothing, and equipment from heat while encouraging airflow for faster cooling. A heat-resistant polymer outer sleeve surrounds a raised stainless steel inner heat shield that clamps onto the suppressor and leaves gaps designed to promote constant airflow. The cover helps reduce thermal signature, mitigate mirage in the sight picture, and cushion the suppressor against bumps and impacts. Compatible with cylindrical suppressors approximately 1.5" in diameter and up to 5.5" long, such as the SureFire SOCOM556-RC2. Tested to SOCOM abuse requirements with suppressor surface temperatures over 1300 degrees. Made in the USA.
