Description

The Wilson Combat 1911 Bullet Proof Grip Safety is machined from a high-grade steel bar stock that eliminates any flaws or imperfections present in many mass produced cast and molded parts. The Wilson compound joint radius makes fitting easy, while the modified grip safety arm provides convenient disassembly. A pocketed rear tang for a recessed commander hammer and a raised rear tab for positive safety release will make this your preferred part for custom builds.

With the High Ride Beavertail Grip Safety, you can enjoy improved comfort and control of your 1911 Auto. This is possible due to its design that positions your shooting hand closer to the plane of the bore while evenly dispersing recoil across a wide rounded surface for an exceptional experience every time. Our High Ride Safety is designed for your safety, with a raised Posi-Release tab that allows you to quickly disengage the grip while serving as an anchor point so that you always keep the same grip. Additionally, the top of this feature features a hammer pocket which allows commander or bobbed spur hammers to nestle into it when cocked and remain snag-free during drawing.

To install a Wilson High Ride beavertail, the frame must first be carefully cut. Fortunately, our fitting jig attaches to the hammer and thumb safety pin holes so that you can precisely file down your weapon without overcutting it. When done correctly, only a few thousandths of an inch should remain for final adjustments to ensure perfect alignment.
