The Primary Weapons Systems Enhanced Buffer Tube Mod 2 is impact extruded from 7075 Aluminum and is optimized for strength and rigidity while remaining lightweight. The lightening cuts along the buffer tube reduce weight in conjunction with the new attachment design net nearly a 1oz weight reduction from the standard mil spec buffer tube design. The buffer tube is anodized with a Type III Mil-Spec coating that exceeds standards in hardness and corrosion protection. The new Ratchet-Lock Design eliminates the need for staking the castle nut while giving a rock solid lock but is easy to remove if needed. The anti-tilt lip enhances function and reliability for piston driven weapons by allowing the carrier to start in the buffer tube rather than transitioning into the tube on extraction. The buffer tube has six stock positions and enhanced drainage ports. The end plate has a central QD sling swivel mount that allows for neutral positioning of your firearm with multiple sling configurations.
