The Magpul Bipod for 1913 Picatinny Rails has a low-profile and lightweight design yet innovative in ergonomics, functionality, strength and value with many features normally found on bipods with a significantly higher cost. Designed to be rugged and high-strength the bipod is made from Mil-spec hard anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum, stainless steel internals, and injection-molded reinforced polymer to ensure years of dependable performance and reliability. The result is a bipod that weighs just over 11 oz. making the Magpul bipod lighter than many pricier bipods currently on the market.
Deploying and adjusting the Magpul Bipod is easy and fast. The spring-tensioned legs fold up neatly forward and snap down and lock into place with one hand. The legs are adjustable from 6.3" to 10.3" with seven half-inch spaced locking detents. The leg extensions slide and lock securely with the push of a button. The soft rubber feet remain planted firmly on a variety of shooting surfaces and are easily removed with a roll pin punch. The Magpul Bipod?s legs accept most Atlas pattern bipod replaceable feet, except for the Atlas 5-H style.
The Magpul Bipod has an industry-exclusive 50 degrees of total tilt and 40 degrees of total pan that are controlled by a glove-friendly, tool-less locking knob located between the bipod legs allowing easy adjustment. Additionally, the bipod has the ability to lock pan at 0 degrees while maintaining full tilt functionality.
When folded the streamlined housing and legs fit neatly under the weapons barrel and are just under 2.3" deep and 3.3" wide. The precision tolerances mitigate squeaks and rattles. A soft rubber bipod locking knob cap is attached to the locking knob gives users a steady and non-marring forward rest while the bipod is folded.
