The Geissele Airborne Charging Handle (ACH) has has a low profile design to reduce the chances of snagging on the user or the environment the user is in. The ACH was developed by Geissele at the request of an "elite organization famous for its expertise in aerial insertion". The ambidextrous design is 3D machined from a solid block of aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum and Type 3 Hardcoat Anodized. The handling surfaces of the levers are checkered for a positive grip with or without gloves. The taller fence at the rear of the Airborne Charging Handle helps redirect gas blow back when shooting short barreled or suppressed weapon systems.
